Analytical Lab Technician-Crowley, Louisiana

The Wright Group, a leading global vitamin and mineral blending company, is currently
accepting resumes for a fulltime Analytical Laboratory Technician. This position is
responsible for the handling and analysis of samples received into the laboratory and completes
reliable analyses by adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs), good laboratory practices
(GLP), and current good manufacturing practices (cGMP). The technician must perform all jobrelated
duties in a safe, organized and efficient manner with quality as a primary objective.

Job Responsibilities

• Receiving and recording of samples upon arrival into the laboratory.
• Various aspects of sample preparation. Included are weighing of
samples, selection of glassware, and determination of necessary
analyses.
• Inspection of instrumentation to be used. Included are troubleshooting
of instrumentation and calibration when required.
• Analysis and recording/plotting of Quality Control samples and data.
• Preparation of reagents and standards on a scheduled basis.
• Documentation and record keeping.
• Interact with personnel from outside of the laboratory.
• Maintain a clean work area.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or related field from a four-year accredited college or
university. Minimum of one to two years of related lab experience and/or training or equivalent
combination of education and experience. Must be flexible and ready to learn and accept new
responsibilities. Knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulations is a plus.
