CROWLEY, La., August 27, 2020 - The Wright Group’s Crowley, La. manufacturing facility remains fully operational despite substantial local damage caused by historic flooding and damage in Lake Charles, La. because of Hurricane Laura.
A significant weather system producing 15 – 20 inches of rain locally and throughout South Louisiana between August 26 – 27th moved through our area over-night creating flood waters that handicapped some of our employees from returning to work on Friday August 28th . Those affected employees are receiving assistance from WG management in order to return to work on Monday August 31st The Crowley facility was not damaged in any way and the main roads leading to the facility are open. Wright has additional manufacturing facilities in Plain City, OH and Modesto, CA in the event of emergency. “Our facility did not experience any manufacturing delays or shutdowns related to the local flooding” said S.L. “Sam” Wright, IV President & CEO. “We want to reassure our customers that they can continue to expect superior quality and complete customer support.
